Purple 3

Welcome to Purple Book 3. The purpose of this book is to add a few words to your vocabulary and to explain a few things. Some Consonants make more than one sound. The letter “c” also makes the same sound as the letter “s” when it is followed by an “i” or an “e” or a “y”. The letters “ci” make the same sound as “si”. The letters “ce” make the same sound as “se”. Since the “y” letter “name” sounds like the letter “name” of “i” it is often used with that sound. So, the letters “cy” make the same as “s” with the “i” letter “name” and at times the “i” letter “sound”. It sounds confusing but it is not. Just try it.
